TAGAYTAY CITY – On February 3, 2026, Guang Ming College (GMC), through the Office of Student Affairs’ International Mobility initiative, welcomed delegates from Taiwan for the Three Acts of Goodness (TAG) Coordinators Visit. It was a full day of exchange, reflection, and shared commitment to values-based education.

The visit began early, with the delegation from Mabuhay Temple traveling to Guang Ming Chan Monastery. Guests began the day with a light offering, a guided meditation, and a tour of the Lumbini Institute of Cavite. It was a quiet, grounded start that set the tone for everything that followed.

By mid-morning, they arrived at GMC and were warmly received by students and staff. The Meditation Hall program highlighted a light offering ceremony, followed by a performance from GMC’s Music Theatre students, creating an atmosphere that felt both solemn and alive.

The Program then moved into a shared meal observed in silence, reminding the diners and guests that presence and gratitude are part of the formation process.

After that, the campus became a series of student and faculty-led stations, including movement activities in the dance theater, musical demonstrations, a creative puppet show in the Library, and a lively finale at the Black Box featuring excerpts from Kulilipaw – a term from the Eastern Marinduque dialect that translates to “butterfly”. Each stop showed preparation and talent, but more importantly, the values behind them: doing good deeds, speaking good words, and thinking good thoughts.

In the afternoon, the TAG Educators’ Forum brought together school leaders and educators from Taiwan and the Philippines. It was a space to share practices and realities and to name what the community wants to build in our schools, such as forming compassionate and responsible learners.

A key highlight was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony with four partner schools from Taiwan which gave structure to what the day already showed: opportunities to grow through exchanges and joint initiatives.

The day ended on a grateful note and a little fuller like a lived experience of learning, community, and shared purpose.

More than anything, the TAG Coordinators Visit reminded us that education goes beyond the classroom. It takes root in values, grows through relationships, and becomes real through shared human experience.
