Cebu Extension Program

The program was formerly known as the Guang Ming Institute of Performing Arts, operating under the International Buddhist Progress Society of Manila Inc., and was inaugurated in June 2019. In January 2021, it was formally absorbed by Guang Ming College and subsequently renamed the GMC-Cebu Extension Program.
As an extension of Guang Ming College, the GMC-Cebu Extension Program expands the College’s cultural and educational presence in Cebu, serving as a platform for arts, culture, education, and community engagement.
It actively supports Fo Guang Shan initiatives, including the Siddhartha Training Program and flagship musical productions such as Prince Siddhartha the Musical, which depicts the life of the Buddha, and Star and Cloud the Musical, which portrays the life of the Founder of Fo Guang Shan, Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
