Silang, Cavite — August 25, 2026 — Lumbini students, faculty, and administrators warmly welcomed student-athletes from Pumen High School – a co-educational Buddhist private school from Kaohsiung, Taiwan during their visit at the Lumbini Institute in Pooc, Silang, Cavite. The morning activities served as an exchange between students from two Fo Guang Shan-affiliated basic education institutions establishing possibilities for further partnerships in the future.

Led by Coach Lee Yi-Hsuan – a proud alumna of Pumen High School herself – the Pumen Girls Basketball Team is currently in the Philippines for their intensive training camp and guest participation at the inaugural Philippine Premiere Basketball Championships (PPBC) aiming to challenge themselves by competing with more matured collegiate counterparts such as the women’s team of UP and Adamson. Their camp also features friendly scrimmage games with other schools – most notably with UAAP Juniors powerhouse NU Nazareth School Lady Bullpups.
